How to schedule your initial appointment
To schedule your first appointment, please call or text (503) 860 8998. After your initial appointment is scheduled, we encourage you to use our online scheduler to schedule your follow-up appointments at your convenience.
What to expect the first time
Your first appointment is 90-120 minutes and includes a thorough health history consultation and an acupuncture treatment. As a courtesy to our patients, our staff will call your insurance company to inquire about your acupuncture benefits. Please let us know if you are interested in using your insurance when you make the appointment.
Before a treatment, please make sure you've eaten a hearty meal in the 1-2 hours prior to arriving. You may wear loose fitting clothing so that it's easy to roll up sleeves or pant legs. If you're comfortable undressing, that's fine, too. Your body will always be covered by a sheet with possibly your limbs uncovered in order to treat those parts.
After a treatment, generally speaking, you can do whatever you like. However, we recommend that after your very first treatment, you don't plan any strenuous activity afterward so you can give your body some time to relax and integrate. It's important to pay attention to how your body feels afterward because that information may be helpful in guiding the treatment plan.
